Special Aid Programs for Arizona Residents
President Barack Obama Scholars Program covers students’ estimated direct costs of attending ASU (minus the Expected Family Contribution as determined by the FAFSA) for up to eight full-time, consecutive fall and spring semesters (summer sessions are not covered). The program is for Arizona students whose family is $42,000 or less and are eligible for a Pell Grant. Submit FAFSA and have a complete ASU admission application on file (application, transcripts and application fee) by January 15.
College Attainment Grant provides tuition and fees for up to four years to qualifying Arizona high school graduates. Students must be eligible for a Pell Grant. FAFSA required.
Arizona Promise Program covers remaining tuition and fee costs not covered by a student’s other gift aid and can be received for up to 8 consecutive semesters.

Special Aid Programs for Arizona Residents
Access2Excellence provides tuition relief for eligible first-year undergraduate Arizona residents with a household income of $65,000 or below. FAFSA required. See Access2Excellence for eligibility requirements and application steps.
Arizona Promise is a state grant program that provides tuition and fee relief to eligible first-year students. NAU will cover the remaining cost of tuition, mandatory fees, college/program, and Honors fees not covered by the student’s other grant and scholarship funding. FAFSA required. Yuma and La Paz Promise is a tuition reimbursement program for eligible students from La Paz and Yuma County who complete an associate’s degree in five semesters.

Presidents' Honors Scholarship - Covers up to 15 credits for four consecutive semesters for eligible incoming first-year college students who start within one year of high school graduation.

Mesa College Promise Program - commitment from the City of Mesa to its residents that all eligible graduating Mesa high school students can attend Mesa Community College for two years with Arizona resident tuition and fees fully funded. The Pima Merit Tuition Award is available to Arizona residents that are new, continuing or returning Pima Community College students who have not earned a bachelor degree.
The Pima Excellence Tuition Award is available to Arizona residents that are new, continuing or returning Pima Community College students who have not earned a bachelor degree.

Important Freshman Dates
Pima Community College is open for admission and there is no deadline to apply. However, we encourage students to apply as early as possible. Submit your FAFSA, listing Pima Community College, by February 1 to maximize aid.
